Come join us at the Old South Farm Museum & Ag Learning
Center in Woodland, Georgia for our annual Old Fashioned Hog Killing School.
will have specialist teaching classes at various stations providing instructions
in every aspect of meat processing from sticking to smoking. Each specialist
will repeat their demonstrations several times during the workshop.
are two levels to participate:
Class Participants: Attend classes and receive Free
Workshop Participants: Attend classes, with Hands On
experience and receive several bulletins on Sausage Making/Meat Curing. You
will also receive 10-15 lbs of Free pork products
You must bring your own cooler, with ice, for Free pork
No Meat Will Be Sold Except Sausage.

8:30 am - Hog Killing & Scraping Class
9:15 am - 2nd Hog Killed
9:30 am - Cutting of Meats Workshop
9:45 am: - Demonstrations:

10:00 am - Demonstrations:
Making Brunswick Stew
Smoking Meats (Smoke House in operation)
12:00 pm - 1:00 pm - Lunch provided by Shady Grove
